Sarang Church recruits trainees for discipleship training in order to raise up lay leaders to serve in various ministries of the church according to their gifts. Discipleship training aims at making the lay members of the church into disciples whose life and character resemble that of Christ by training them with the Bible in small groups. Those who complete discipleship training and who have the gift to serve in small groups will move on to receive leadership training and evangelism explosion training.
 Qualifications
1. Has been a member of the church for at least a year and has been baptized for at least 3 years
2. Completed the Newcomers’ Class
3. Ages between 33 – 50
4. Has been participating in a small group for at least six months
5. Able to assist the Sunday worship service during the training
(Male: traffic control (6 months)
Female: Ushers and offering (6 months))
6. Has the spouse’s permission to receive the training
7. Has a healthy job and healthy constituents
8. Prepared to gladly fulfill the contents and requirements of discipleship training
Training Period
1 year
Regular women training group - Wednesday or Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
Professional women training group- Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Men’s discipleship training group– Thursday 7:30 p.m. or Sunday at 6:00 p.m. |
